MadFest started with a simple idea: to bring together the two high schools in Madison, Alabama, and show that we could make a greater impact by working together rather than competing against one another. From that vision, MadFest was born—a large-scale event that blends the excitement of a festival with the heart of community service. 

Since then, MadFest has grown significantly and is now on the eve of its third festival. With thousands of attendees each year, the festival provides a free of charge, community connection experience for all ages. In 2026, it was absorbed by MLDF so that both organizations can continue to grow together.
