Our mission
Madison Leadership Development Foundation exists exclusively for charitable and educational purposes to inspire, equip, and empower students to become principled, confident, and community-minded leaders. The organization is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leadership by providing meaningful opportunities for students to serve, create, and lead within their communities.
Our Means of Advancement
In order to fulfill our vision and work toward our mission, we are committed to the following:
1. Create hands-on leadership opportunities that allow students to develop practical skills in teamwork, decision-making, and problem-solving
2. Encourage and support student initiative by enabling students to design, organize, and lead large-scale community events that strengthen community bonds and enhance quality of life
3. Develop and oversee a signature community festival led by high school students, while providing the financial, legal, and organizational support necessary to ensure its success and sustainability
4. Reinvest any remaining funds generated through its activities into future student-led leadership projects, educational opportunities, and initiatives aligned with the organization’s mission, as determined by the Board of Trustees
Our Programs
MLDF is already committed to multiple programs that work toward our vision. In addition, we are committed to creating one additional program each year for the next 3 years.

Year-long Leadership Development Program
MLDF trains the next generation of leaders through a year-long, hands-on program that hands the reigns to students. Instead of simply teaching, we empower the students to lead each other. Over the past two years, over 200 students have successfully completed the program, with tangible results that follow their future endeavors.

MadFest
Each year, MLDF hosts an annual festival, MadFest. This events accomplishes many feats. It allows the next generation of leaders to walk out their training for a day of service and fun. MadFest also reinvests in our community by providing an exciting day for families that is completely free of charge for them.

MLDF Grant Program
MLDF commits to providing the next generation with resources that assist them with projects that they are passionate about. Through our grant program, students are able to pitch the visions that they have for community advancement by way of leadership. This is a competitive process and details are released throughout the year.
